Capsules: standardized extract at 2-3% harpagoside, 600-1200mg per day. Decoction: 4g root in 500ml water, boil 10 minutes.
Precautions
Contraindicated for gastroduodenal ulcers.
Not recommended during pregnancy.
May interact with anticoagulants and antidiabetics.
Avoid for gallstones.
